Who is Bill
O'Hanlon and why is he qualified in the area of
trauma?
Who am I and why am I qualified to
tell you about getting over trauma?
Well, I have been a psychotherapist for 30+ years, have
written several books for major publishers (W.W.
Norton, John Wiley and Sons, Penguin Perigee) on
resolving and treating trauma, both for
psychotherapists and for the general public. (Check out
my website to learn more about my work in
general: http://www.billohanlon.com
or visit my other
websites http://www.getyourbookwritten.com;

and http://www.thewebwhisperers.com).
I have taught workshops on trauma for the past 25 years
all over the world.
I was sexually molested when I was a child and
developed an interest in treating trauma respectfully
and in finding methods that did not involve years of
therapy, dredging up the past unnecessarily and that
did not involve painfully reliving or re-experiencing
the pain of the original trauma.
This initially put me at odds with most of the field of
psychotherapy and psychiatry, but eventually more and
more of them came around to this approach, until now it
is part of the mainstream.
I decided to create this site to let people who have
experienced traumas to know there are ways to move on
and heal and to do that fairly quickly.
